Originally posted by Martin Schou Yeah, that's ... off. But I suspect it'd look a lot better, if you managed to match the colour though. Although, if you just did it by guesstimating, that's pretty good. According to MSPaint (yes, I know), your lens is RGB[255;72;91] HSL[236;240;154] and the Pentax red is something like [223;52;70], [236;175;129]
Unless they were shot in identical lighting conditions and environments, preferably in the same photo, there's no point in pulling RGB numbers.

It was a Takumar 55mm f1.8, it's now a 55mm f0.9 with auto focusing. I plan on adding spoilers later so that there's less wind resistance while focusing.

You'd be surprised, the Red K-x is actually slightly pink (much to my chagrin when I received it). Don't get me wrong, it looks great but I would have preferred a deeper darker red, maybe even with a hint of brown. The photos posted by John Flores (I think he's on this forum) led me to buy the red K-x. It turns out he must have done some post processing with the contrast to pull that shade of red.
Here's the original image I found via Google image search that led me to buy the red K-x.
Credit of course goes to the honorable John Flores.
