After all, the pentax lens is hard to resist, it is so delicacy...

I`ll be sticking with the DA Limited lenses as I`ve been down the manual lens route. Nothing wrong or implied there, I`ve just switched my priorities. The 21 as mentioned will be next, then the 70 and lastly, the 15.

Congrats!

I'm trying to ignore the rebates--just one more day! I don't think I need a fourth DA 70, or a third DA 35 or 21...

I still have my first DA 40 though!

Any truth to the pentax FF rumours?

I've read posts about them dating back 5+ years. wouldn't that be counter productive against their investments in the "DA" lenses ? or can they simply revive the FA production lines?

The DA 40mm apparently works on FF, except I think the hood may cause vignetting. I`m sure I`ve seen examples on this forum of DA 40 on a film body.

Bad news, I hope they will release the FF soon, though I have no budget to buy it. But I wanna see my FA lens rise in value...

The DA 40 is the same optical design as the M 40, just in a sleeker package, so therefore it will work fine on any film body that can control aperture.

Here's an example I took last summer:

(MZ-6, DA 40/2.8, Superia 200)

Thanks for the example Erik. Does the hood on the cause vignetting?

I don't remember. I think it might, a little bit. The front element is really small on the DA40, however, so maybe not.

Thanks Eric. If FF comes out or not I'm really not concerned. However, it's nice to know the DA40 will more than likely do both formats. We'll have to see what happens in the future.

I think I've seen other examples posted here with DA 40 taken wide open, which shows slight vignetting on the corners, but I rather dig that type of photos. They look quite pleasing...
