Mmhh 40mm have more resolution in the borders...this is a comparison:

I have the DA35. I like it because the IQ is excellent, it is a macro, and it's easy to manual focus. I used to have a Voigtlander 40mm/2 SL-II, and found that the focal length was very nice and the IQ as good as the DA35's. It is also very well built, full-frame and relatively inexpensive. But it is MF only.
