I'm not sure what the 28mm is like but I know the 30mm f1.4 suffers from a very centered focal point and tends to lose it's sharpness expanding out from the center. Funny enough though it seems that a lot of Canon guys prefer the Sigma 30mm f1.4 over their L series glass due to price/performance on cropped sensors.. go figure, I'd be interested in hearing others opinions.

Photozone tests show the 50mm f/1.4 as pretty bad at 1.4, so-so at 2.0, only good then excellent from 2.8 up -- any disputes from owners? So I think of it more like 50mm f/2.0 when compared with the 35mm.

Whereas the 35mm f/2.0 is good right from 2.0 and generally sharper than the 50mm across the f range; hence it's nearly twice the price $300 no rebate vs $160 after rebate. Currently shown as in stock at B&H if anyone interested.
