10-17mm filter size?

So to make the story short I bought my 10-17 on Amazon and when checking out it showed a 52mm filter underneath so I assumed that was the size I needed....it is not.

I don't have my paperwork handy that came with the lens and was wondering what size filter it took.

I don't think it takes a filter of any kind - the bulbous front element gets in the way.

I am quite sure the DA 10-17mm cannot take a filter

It doesn't take a filter. Any filter would cause vignetting (cutting off the corners of the picture). One *CAN* thread a 58mm ring onto its mini-hood, and I have one on order so I can mount a closeup+fisheye adapter on it. Yeah, it ain't fishy enough already... But you really don't want a filter. If you don't get the full view, what's the point of having a fisheye lens?

Awwww I was really just wanting to be able to put a CPL on there when needed. Guess I need to sell these 2 uneeded UV's I have.

CPL on 180 FOV would cause some funny gradients in the sky.
