Getting a Tamron 28-75mm

I decided to pull the trigger and get the Tamron 28-75 Macro fram KEH. It should be here by Monday. I'm hoping that its a good copy since I've heard about some lemons going around. Good thing KEH has a good return policy.

Then after that I'm going to see if I can get either the Tamron 90 or the Pentax DFA100.

Well congrats.
It's got to be one of my most favoured go-to lenses for fast-action portraiture, like weddings.

Congrats!

I've taken the vast majority of my pics with one. You'll really enjoy using it.

Yes, congratulations to you on making a great choice. This lens provides one of the better dollar to performance ratios out there--IMO.

The 28-75mm is the only lens that I have ever seen that has a used price that has increased over 50% in a single year, as more and more people found out how good it is. At one point I was able to get one for less than $250, now it's hard to find them under $350.

I myself just got a 28-75. It was disappointingly soft upto 5.6, BUT I went ahead and forked out the $140 fixed rate to have Tamron fix it because what I did get from shooting with it was a nice range of zoom, awesome bokeh at 2.8 and very sharp after I stopped down into the working aperture sizes. I can't wait to get it back "fixed" and try it again.

Even with the bad taste in my mouth this lens purchase left me with I'd say it's a great buy and since you actually get a warranty (I did craigslist), kudos to you!

Congratulations!

I have been very happy with this lens. It stays on the camera most of the time.
