Quick kit lens question

Do both the 18-55mm Mark I and the Mark II/ DA L lenses have the same 1:2.9 or so macro on them?

They are the same optically but have different mounts and I think the second version has not quick shift either.

But can you check to see if they both have the same macro? I think I remember one of them being closer focusing than the other one.

They are both listed as 1:3 or 0.34X in the specs. By "both" here, I mean the original version on one hand, and all the other versions lumped together on the other hand. The original version *is* different optically than the others, but the others are indeed all optically identical to each other.
