50mm 1:1.4 at infinity

I have come across an SMC-Pentax 50mm 1.4 (screwmount) and would like to use it on my DL with an adapter. Will the adapter interfere with using this lens to focus at infinity?

A genuine M42 to K mount Pentax adapter or an aftermarket Pentax K mount to M42 without a flange works fine. For an aftermarket adaptor see this link

If this is a Pentax-made screwmount lens it will be labeled Super-Takumar or SMC-Takumar, not Pentax. All Pentax-labeled lenses are K-mount bayonet, not M42 screw mount.
