Peleng 8mm Bust

Well, I glued a PK mount on her, just took a few shots, and Houston, we have a problem.

The first shot shows the vignetting, the second cropped to fix, and third converted to k to fix a not very sharp lens.

I'll play around with this a lot today, so maybe I'll get better with it. The thing basically focuses at infinity all the time, but it hardly even looks in focus in the viewfinder.

What was the lens originally meant for? Does look soft even in these small shots posted. The wide angle is lost quite a bit with the crop.

Not seeing another picture. Your other one looks just the opposite. Like you put a DA lens on a film camera. Cropping, really kills the fisheye effect. Is this the first time you've been able to try the lens? It really seems like you've been going through a bit of hell with it.

Edit... See it now..

It looked fine on film cameras as M42, but it wouldn't come close to focus on the KX with the Pentax adapter like that. And after removing the M42 and attaching an adapter to it, it's much better, but still off.

The shot of my friend was heavy PP sharpening.

It's like a fisheye but not a true fisheye. And I think the lowest you can go without it being anywhere near a fisheye is 10mm, but it still distorts.

The b&w shot of friend above was shot about 2 feet from his forehead.

The building here is actually totally straight, not curved, so this is giving me a full fisheye effect on this sensor. Note the flare, which it's very prone for.
