No, it must be a cold-turkey approach. Addicts must TOTALLY GIVE UP THEIR COLLECTIONS. To me. For a reasonable fee. I won't charge more than US$10 per lens. I will dispose of them carefully and ethically, I promise. Let's see, Attila over on MfLenses.Com posts that his 1000+ lenses are too many. Well, for only US$10k, I will TOTALLY CURE HIS ADDICTION. Some of those are difficult, especially the Canon 50/0.95, but I can PROMISE A CURE.

Just send me all your lenses, plus US$10 per lens, and you SHALL be cured! I guarantee it!

of course once we've collected all the available lenses we'd ever need for our dslr, we then get bitten by the medium format bug

Luckily that hasn't happened to me yet

You think .45 ACP rounds are cheap? That's just for overhead.

I figured it was an act of charity with some measure taken to defray cost

Or maybe the $10 you collect for each lens is to put towards yet more lenses

Wow. I'm pretty sure I am never going to make it to a full blown case of LBA on my budget. Probably a good thing that I feel guilty when I spend $5 for a new lens once every few months at Goodwill or a yard sale. If I had it as bad as some of around here do? My friends and family would have me checked into a 12 step rehab program in a heartbeat!

$350? That's 2-2 1/2 times my entire budget photography-wise for a YEAR, and I'm talking Goodwill prices here, lol. Well, enjoy it, but I'd definitely suggest you buy your spouse something NICE if you want to keep them all.

The most difficult part of this cure is to convincing people to send you their lenses. Do you have a patent pending for that? May be it's better that you charge a flight ticket and practically help them to pack their lenses, and send them to you? and don't forget 10$ fee each lens.

My lba may not be curable. Now I m looking for tilt and medium formats...

Glaucoma is the only known cure for LBA.
I can tell you with authority that glaucoma does not cure LBA. Glaucoma cures CBA of cameras with ground glass focusing screens.

I believe my cure will be to sell virtually every hobby thing I own (fly fishing, HOn3 model railroad, fine carpentry tools and photographic equipment) except my S1 105/2.5, and buy 1 each pristine MIJ FA31, FA43, FA77, and then every second new Pentax DSLR model.

Under those circumstances I think I could quit.
