Will Sigma mount lenses fit Pentax??

Are Sigma mount lenses compatible with Pentax? Or does this require an adapter?

Thanks

Sigma mount (for Sigma Cameras) will not and there's no adapter as far as I know. But Sigma makes lenses with a Pentax mount. What are you looking at?

Looking for a longer lens and for some reason I thought the two mounts were compatible. Clearly I'm mistaken and glad I asked.

I've been reading posts on the forum on Sigma 100-300 vs. 50-500mm vs. 150-500mm and just cannot decide which would be the best choice.

I recently picked up the original version of Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and what a beautiful lens.

Thanks for the quick reply.

All of those lenses are available in Pentax mounts. I assume you found one of them on Sigma mount?

yes and the price didn't seem bad. There just isn't many of these in the pentax mount or at least that I can find.

Sigma 150/2.8 <<<<----- I hate Sigma for not making one for the Pentax mount.

They're harder to find in SA (Sigma) mount used

Forget the 150mm f2.8, I'd like to see Sigma make a 135mm f1.8 or faster.

If they made it I would think somewhere between $1,200 and $1,500 US.

I hope that your prophecy comes true.

I would just wonder how much the Sigma 85/1.4 would cost if that 135 is selling around the price bracket that you mentioned.

The Sigma world is expecting around the $800.00 - $850.00 street price, however that's just entirely speculation at this point.

I honestly don't know if Sigma's even made any test units yet. Although they'll be coming soon.

I think I would buy one at that price point. seems a good price point considering that they want to get some share of the market against the FA77.
