I have 2 kits. One for screw mounts and one for DA/FA. I usually throw the screwmount kit in the car; the case is just so much more stylish



The screwmount kit used to be based on a K100D but my wife now uses that camera so now it's based on the K10D.

The lenses:
Vivitar 55mm/2.8 macro
SMC 85mm/1.8
SMC 200mm/4

and
DA18-55

DA55-300
FA31LTD

I have a DA 18-55 (good kit lens btw) but tend to use mostly older (some more older than others) manual focus lenses.

Well, besides the kit 18-55, my K10D enjoys an FA-31 and an FA-43, when wearing new glass ...

When going "vintage", the camera wears a P/K 28/3.5, a P/K 85/1.8, a P/K 105/2.8, a P/K 135/2.5, a Steinheil 135/2.8, a Kiron 105/2.8 Macro, an Angenieux 35/2.5, and some other M42 or P/K lenses ...

I have a case very much like that too. It came via eBay from the estate of a Midwestern newspaper photographer, laden with 70's and 80's cameras and lenses and paraphernalia. M42's: Chinon-Argus CR-3E and matching 55/1.7; Fujica ST-701; Sigma-Z 24/2.8; Tokina-Vivitar 35/2.8; Komine-Vivitar 90/2.8 macro; Hanimar 135/2.8; Vivitar 2x TC. And a Yashica GSN rangefinder, Vivitar flash, filters, etc. Nothing fancy, just good workable stuff. (Amortized price per case, camera, lens, flash: US$3 each. Wotta deal!)

But it stank. Everything in it stank. I mean, the guy smoked a good brand of pipe tobacco, smelled like Balkan Sobranie. But a couple decades of tobacco smoke, infused into the weaves of base and bags and straps? Ewww... So everything soft got sprayed with Fabreze, and everything hard was wiped down, and everything was left on the covered porch for a few days of airing-out. Luckily, nothing was stolen by raccoons.

I own two SMC-M 50's, a 1.4 and a 1.7 and Promaster7 28mm mini wide II (has A contacts only). My Tamron is broken at the mount basically when it fell while on my GX-20. I like the challenge of MF though and I'm getting better at telling when I have focus even before the indicator turns on :-D

My M 100/4 macro is always in my bag. My M 400/5.6 is in my largest bag, and was used for about 6% of my shots last year.
