I think we can all agree that new AF zooms especially can take a lot of shots, but using older lenses especially primes makes you slow down and think. It is also much faster fto zoom with a lens than with your feet
Good point about AF zooms. I did not intend this survey to be based on % of shots. More important than sheer volume is quality. If you take half as many shots with a prime, then maybe your spending twice as much time composing the shot and end up with significantly more keepers.
This survey's more subjective than sheer volume. Like I stated - what lenses make it into your bag when you walk out the door? That's a natural filtering process that your shoulder and back demand, which usually leaves you with the kit that you find most useful to your needs, which in effect gets back to the quality not quantity criteria.
