Tamron 28-75 F2.8

I know there are many tamron users in pf.com.
First pic is auto focussed, second manually. Tried to focus on the little square. imagine what a difference would be at larger distance.
I've heard about 28-75 af problems, but I've heard also very good comments about it. So I decided to purchase a new copy (from japanese ebay seller). But now I'm a bit dissapointed . I was shooting sports, but meny of pictures were not fosussed correctly.
What can You say about it?

Take a bottle of water, a coke can or something with fine writings on it. Try to af on it. Then you may be disappointed at it. In the sample you provided the dof is too shallow, and focus pints move just with hand movements.

These are only 2 of test shots. All the others showed the same.

Can you take a shot of an object with text on it, sitting some about 2 meters away? The object needs to bee seating diagonally.

Because the lens looks like it has front focusing problems. But can't really tell from your sample if it's a focusing error or just hand movements and shallow dof.
