I just bought the Tamron 28-75 within the last month and its everything people said it was:

sharp as a tack

the zoom is a little stiff to move, but i like it that way - no lens creep so far

lightweight and balances very well with my K20

haven't noticed any focus problems with it.
I,ve had my 28-75 for 2 1/2 years now, and receintly I had to send it to tamron for service because something failed that led to very soft images at all apertures.

Since it has come back, the zoom collar does seem a little stiffer, but I am certain it will exhibit creep again due to the optical design. what I found with respect to ccreep was that it was not an issue with the lens when shooting, The lens could be pointed straight down and not creep, but as soon as you start walking, with the lens on a shoulder strap, it will creep due to the vibration it gets from hanging there.
