That a great shot but what is up with those eyebrows? Does she usually do them like that?

Wow! Cool anachronism! The heavily penciled brows, hat, and lighting are straight mid-Century while the lip stud is very much today.

I found my 44k-4 much sharper than 44-2, and it's a k mount so no need for the adapter. Meters with a green button. Love the lens, great character and value.

I just grabbed one from eBay for $55 with free shipping from Russia in EX+ condition to compare to the 44-2.
So depending on which I decide I prefer I'll have an extra at some point.
My motivation is my 44-2 is beat up with a bent filter ring and I want to put a screw-on rubber hood on it.

The 44k-4 was a lit lens for a Zenit 212k, I believe it was a pretty popular camera back in the day, so I think there should be plenty 44k-4's around. I was lucky my copy was basically untouched since my teen years and was kept in a safe space all those years..

interesting, I'll take a look when my Helios will be beat up ^^ for now, it's still working perfectly (after ~30 years of heavy use from different users )

That first pic asks the very interesting question,"What is the least area of the frame that needs to be in focus?" I think it answers it very well, too.

I like the little TSC tractor, too. What warm indoor atmospherics!

thank you - that lens is quite easy to work with inside; it's outside in strong light it has more serious issues....
