My (fifth
) Helios 58mm has just arrived from Ukraine.
It's a quite common 44-2 made in 1971 by JOV Valdai.
Paid almost nothing (more on this in a separate thread).
Went out shooting a few flower down the road, almost in front of my gate.
Very, very satisfied by the first results.
This shot is wide open and very close to the minimum focusing distance, on K-1 full frame - asking a lot from this little old lens, isn't it?
For those too lazy to click the picture this is a 100% particular of the area in focus. Great bokeh, a touch of wonderful halo, but also very good sharpness! I think this copy is a keeper!
