The K135/2.5 on right now is $265. Don't be fooled by the "Takumar (Bayonet) 135/2.5's, though - nowhere near the same reputation as the K ("Pentax SMC").

I prefer the f/3.5 lenses on almost all the lenses I have used (when compared to the same lens in a f/2.8

For example, I would take the Pentax-K 35mm f/3.5 over the K 35mm f/2 or the Pentax-M 28mm f/3.5 over the M 28mm f/2.8

Most of the time, I have noticed they are sharper and display better contrast wide open. Stopping all the lenses down seem to makes them nearly indistinguishable so it is really wide open where it really counts.

If you really need the extra speed for low-light shooting conditions then go with the faster lens.... if you don't need it, however, the f/3.5 will usually treat you better.
