Such an amazing lens, but no review in the database. I've been on the hunt for a fast 50 and this lens, along with the Voightlander Nokton 58mm f/1.4 are definitely contenders. What are everyone's thoughts on the Zeiss...i.e. rendering/sharpness vs. the Nokton?

If you do a search here there are in fact several threads on the lens and a wealth of pictures to examine. The best place to start is no doubt Zeiss ZK LBA - pics, notes, thoughts? I hope this helps.

4 months of shopping, and I finally pulled the trigger...but went with the voitlander 58mm f/1.4 instead. For some reason I couldn't get my old HS economics teacher's chant of "cost/benefit class" out of my head. rparmar, perhaps one day i'll pick up the zeiss, but for now, I just couldn't justify the extra $300.

Thanks for the info guys...my pentaxforums searches never turned up that thread.
