stopped down a little...:

1. Sigma Macro 70 EX
2. Pentax FA 31 Ltd
3. Pentax FA 43 Ltd
4. Pentax DA 35 Ltd
5. Pentax FA 50 1.4
6. Pentax FA 77 Ltd
7. Pentax DA* 50-135 and 200

I wish my DA 21 and 15 were sharper...

Although for the last 5 listed lenses, it really is a draw in my opinion.

I have to say the SMC-M 50mm compared to the other lenses I own. It is incredible but it is not compared to the shorter focal-lenght siblings. I have a SMC-A 50mm as well, and that is very sharp too. There is a huge difference between lenses, wouldnt you say!?

My sharpest lens, without question: M 50 1.7, followed close behind by the DA 12-24.

Just curious about OP's intention, are we talking about the sharpness lens at wide open or at the optimal aperture (stopped down)?

I do agree that the DA 12-24 is sharp.... and so does the M50 1.7 (I have both as well), but there are so many of them.

To regular people, of course. Not us.

and we can make the same equal or better clean images at ISO6400 to that of the current best HIGH ISO cameras at the same sensitivity using the best NR tool.

I think my DA 35 is my sharpest lens, although all of the lenses I own are sharp.

Just a general sense on what your sharpest lens in your collection is.

For me it's gotta be one of two, either SMC Pentax A* 85mm F1.4 or SMC Pentax-A* 135mm F1.8, I can't see which has the edge.

They both work for me.

Toss up here too, between FA 43 & Sigma 24 f1.8....I'd give it to the FA by a nose.

My sharpest lens?

It used to be my beat-up Kiron 105 macro. Now it's my D-FA WR 100 macro. Holey moley, it's so sharp, I can shave with it!
