Contact info of Pentax Canada service?

I've tried to contact Pentax Canada concerning service, and I endedd up with a reply from Pentax USA suggesting I contact Pentax Canada... strange loop.

Anyone dealt with Pentax Canada repairs in the past, and can direct me towards the right person/address?

Cheers.

I have had the same thing happen when I tried to contact them about a focusing screen. Don't bother sending them and email and you'll just keep getting stuck in the same loop. Instead just call them and you will get through to someone in Canada.

Yeah, they still have the old teletype machine in service..

Seriously, jokes aside, you can contact the support centre via 905-286-5590 (ext 324) or alternatively, you can email them via the pentax.ca web site (support) and submit in your questions.

They should be able to help you out. Also, if you purchased your equipment from the US, you should send in copy of your receipt (to Colorado - US Pentax support) and request for support in Canada (they will send you an International warranty paper with stamp of approval - which is accepted by Pentax Canada). The only downside of course, International warranty is for 1-year whereas Canadian warranty is 2-years from date of purchase. By the way, they are friendly people and ready to help you.... Good luck..

I tried to email them... that's when I ended up with a US support rep.

I'll try to call them I guess, though most of the time I find it easier to document a problem via email.

They are friendly but I had to follow up with them a couple times. I was trying to get a hold of the guy who deals with replacement parts and left a few voice mails which he never returned and he wouldn't answer his phone a lot of the time either. When I finally did get a hold of him he sold me a brand new focusing screen for $12 CDN + $10 for shipping. I got the part in a week and noticed that the shipping was only $1 so I contacted Pentax with this issue thinking it was a bit unfair to charge $10 for shipping and handling for something so small and the fact that buddy wouldn't return any calls. The next day I received an apologetic email and they sent me a free Pentax card reader!

I just sent in my DA* 300mm for repairs and talked to them over the phone a couple of times.

Their service info is:

Phone: (905) 286-5590
Fax: (905) 286-5591
Email: service@pentax.ca

I also sent in a service request via Pentax Canada's website and was contacted by a Pentax Imaging Technical Support (USA) person advising me to send my lens to Pentax Canada (duh!) for repairs and provided me the necessary info.

Thanks Roland. I also got advice from Pentax USA to contact Pentax Canada, but they didn't have the contact ifo. Wow.

I'll try the service info you provided. Thanks!
