Can Vivitar fans help to identify this 28mm F2?

found this on flee bay .

Seller claims it is a Pentax mount. But judging by the erroneous info given in the "item specifics", I have my doubt.

Raising my suspicion is the picture of the aperture ring. It has an extra "EE" marking which does not look "Pentax" to me (neither K mount nor KA mount lens have this marking).

Have put forward the question to seller but would rather rely on the experience of Pentax users for enlightenment.

I have gone through the Vivitar 28mm thread extensive and knows that it is a Kiron version.

The tabs on the mount don't appear to be at the correct location for a pK mount.

I'm looking at a pK mount lens. Looking from the top of the lens, the tab on top is on the left of the focus/aperture indicator. In the photo, that tab is on the right.

Also, looking at the rear of the lens, the aperture lever should be at 3 o'clock position. The one in the photo appears to be at 6 o'clock position.

It looks just like my Konica version of the lens. Mine has the EE also, which I believe is the equivalent to the A on on Pentax lenses. I was able to convert mine to a PK mount with a flanged M42 adapter but it wasn't easy.

I highly recommend the lens though as it's given me some great images.

Just saw this thread now, but the info you have been given looks correct.

So, on the upside the lens will likely sell cheaper. But on the downside, it will not fit on a Pentax camera. (I often wished there was a way to mod them, since price differentials between mounts can be enormous.)
