Ask our B&H Pentax Specialist! (read before posting)

This forum is made possible thanks to B&H Photo, the photography superstore from New York that carries pretty much all the current Pentax cameras, lenses, and accessories!

Their Pentax specialist (see his forum profile here) will be available in this forum to answer any of your Pentax-specific product questions, regardless of whether or not you plan on purchasing something. Of course, if you want to buy Pentax from B&H, please click this link prior to placing your order in order to support PentaxForums.com, or follow the instructions in my signature. Thanks for your support, and big thanks go to B&H for making this section possible! We're excited to see your Pentax questions answered!

Note: you cannot reply to others' threads in this forum. If you would like to ask our specialist a question, start a new thread rather than trying to reply to someone else's post.

Wow, just noticed this. Very cool.
I've always had success when purchasing from B&H as far back as the film era.
Good deal for the forum.

Im sure B&H know ahead of us but being CiC they dare not say ...

Maybe over a couple of beers perhaps but not here ... as trustworthy as we all are

Anyway I think this is a great addition to the forum ....

I'll add my thanks too. Great idea. The B&H catalog was my dream book for years and I've bought a bunch of gear from them since the 80's! I've never had one problem. I agree with Parallax that they have set the standard for service.

cheers

Yes I have just recently purchased my 1st lot of goodies from B&H, they were very cost effective and P&H very good to Australia, well it was early May 2010, pity the $Aus conversion has gone belly up. .

Can only benefit PF members.

I am resident in the UK so I guess your reply will be limited by that but I would like some advice.

I have very recently bought a Pentax K-x having been a K1000 owner for over 25 years, and am blown away with the image results I am getting. However, a few days ago I noticed a small speck of dust on the focus screen. So following the instructions in the manual for removing dust from the image sensor I used a blower to 'puff' away the dust. This removed the original dust speck but in the process has resulted in worsening the situation and there now appears to be dust behind the focus screen because nothing seems to shift it. In all the years I've owned the K1000 I never had this happen. Is there any way for me to clean the focus screen?

I'd appreciate any advice you can give me.
