Firmware K20D 1.03

I installed the latest K20D firmware Ver. 1.04. The installation went absolutely fine. However when I connected a different 80-300 lens the mirror locked up and no matter what lens (including Pentax lens) was installed it still would locked up until I powered the camera down. Re-starting the camera made no difference. When I recalled the last picture taken it was blank (all white) I tried re-formating the SDHC card and that made no difference either. The way I could fix it was to again install Ver. 1.04 firmware. The previous Firmware was Ver. 1.03 and I would like to install that ver. back again because I had absolutely no issues with 1.03.

Question:Where can I download Ver. 1.03 as Pentax only is only allowing me to download ver. 1.04 and NOT showing 1.03. Well actually they do show it but when you try to download it it saves it as 1.04.
Any help would grestly be appreciated.

I'm trying to email Tcerbo a copy I have on my old machine, but my connection is being spotty today and I may just be over my attachment size limit. I don't suppose anyone else could do similarly?

Sounds a lot like a user error and not a firmware problem. Are you in MLU mode? 2 sec timer? Bulb mode? Drive mode set to Burst?

I contacted Pentax and a firmware version cannot be rolled back. The camera based on what you posted was happening needs servicing. Please contact Pentax for a location near you.

Actually following Pentax's Firmware Updating procedure "to the letter" I successfully took my K20D DSLR from 1.04 (latest installed) back to 1.03 whic is where I was previously. The camera works perfectly fine now. Whoever said you cannot go back is obviously incorrect. I now question whether 1.04 has a BUG, my mirror lock-up probem NEVER happened while using 1.03. Sending the camera back to as Pentax K20D would have taken weeks to get back and I'm sure there would have been an expensive charge even though the the camera is under warranty, Pentax has funny rules when it comes to Firmware. The only important advise I would give to others is when doing Firmware update/downdates is to carefully read Pentax's Readme file before attempting the task, and making sure the battery is fully charged. I do however appreciate you suggestion but happy to report it now fine nomatter what lens I install.

So was rolling back the firmware any more difficult than the update itself? Explain the procedure please.
