My local shop is unable to get as according to them Sigma has terminated production.

so i am just about to press the trigger from your site as i need it for my work but is there ready stock?

**by the way any word of the Sigma 17-50 HSM for pentax?

Probably right, looks as though they are replacing it with the OS (completely unnecessary version) for twice the price. Better snatch one up before they are gone! B&H has them listed in stock.

Looks like they are right. Sigma appears to be replacing it with the completely unnecessary OS version (unnecessary since we have SR). Anyway, B&H has the current version listed in stock at $799, better grab it before it is gone!
