Shipping: different billing and shipping address

Hi
What is the reason for not allowing a different shipping address to the billing address for international customers, I find this very annoying, and certainly was a reason that I purchased from a different online store (even though it was a little more expensive, the convenience factor was worth it to me).

Also, just out of curiosity, I've just had a look at price for shipping for some items, I don't know if it's just me not having ordered anything for a while, but the price seems to be a lot more than it used to be. I'm in Australia by the way.

One camera related question, how does the size of the tamron 70-200mm f2.8 compare to the Pentax DFA 100mm (non-WR), size is a very important consideration for me, I'm curious as typically I wouldn't really like a lens much (if any) bigger than my macro.

Same story here. UPS to Australia only delivers normal business hours. Unforntunately most people (including me) work during normal business hours, so your parcel is delivered to my unattended home address.

There is a certain level of angst knowing the UPS guy is leaving $500 of FA43Ltd under the doormat at my house, where the bills come to, while I'm miles away trying to earn the money to fund the purchase in the first place.
UPS say we can collect but only at the single Sydney depot (nearby the international airport) which is quite inconvenient.

In the past I have had Adorama, Amazon and others deliver to my business address, in preference to buying from B&H.

This is a security issue. Right now internat'l orders can be shipped to your home or to your job if it is in the same country as your home or to a USA residence. We don't have all these options on our site because we've found too many pirates like to use different countries in shipping & billing addresses to make locating them more difficult.

If you want to use an address other than your home, per the above, please initiate your purchase via e-mail or Skype or another inexpensive international phone option. You can reach us here.

sort of a related question

On the B&H website, it says something about not being able to redirect a delivery by UPS. Does that mean if I order that UPS will try 3 times while I am at work, then send it back because they can't direct it to will-call pickup?

That was the case with an item bought thru Amazon, but shipped by a different large NYC camera retailer.

To answer your equipment question, the 70-200 is huge in comparison. 3lbs. and 8" (without hood) vs. 3/4lb. and 3".

For the record, that's for the FA 100, not the OP's D FA 100.
