Mail Exchange instead of Return and buy

I'm thinking of swapping the Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 I got in the mail yesterday for the DA 15mm

I was wondering if there was any way to do some sort of exchange instead of having to do a return buy situation, just because I would rather that 480 dollars not be missing from my account until the refund clears, I could just pay the difference between the two lenses

Thanks for your time

I've been reading your thread on which lenses to get, so I'm just wondering what changed your mind about the Sigma 10-20, and why you think you might prefer the DA15?

I've never returned a lens to B&H, but I believe you can do an exchange and pay the difference. Log into your B&H account, pull up the order list and click "Return Order" next to your lens order. You then fill out a short form, and within a day or so, you'll receive an email with an RMA and return instructions.

Oh thanks for the insight

As for the switch, I spent half a grand on the Sigma, and I'm just not thrilled, 500 bucks is a huge purchase for me, I still don't have any polarizing or UV filters because I'm such a cheapskate ...it's not buyers remorse though, I have 500 set aside for a new lens and I just have to find one I Love. My budget ready for this purchase

I find myself just really wanting the DA15, I've been pouring over images since I got the Sigma yesterday and the ones from the DA15 seem higher quality, I also had a huge misconception about ultra-wides. I thought they were simply to "get it all in" and I was wrong, so even though it's not as wide I'd rather go with the DA 15 to have a two prime replacement for my 18-55 kit. I'm sure the image quality on both ends will be greatly improved

Ah yes, I do understand wanting to reserve the ~$500 purchases for special lenses and not those that are just "nice." After acquiring the DA35, nothing else has really matched it, except for the DFA100WR. I asked, because I'm interested in both the DA15 and DA21, but I'm not sure I'd love either: My most-used focal length is ~35mm.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the DA15. The DA Limiteds are fantastic lenses.

Yeah it seems that if I want a high quality super wide I'll have to spend about 700 on the Pentax 12-24 or the Sigma 8-16, I'd just rather not settle on an "okay" lens. I've done that with all my lenses so far (for some reason I just couldn't pull the trigger on that dang DA 55-300)

And right now there isn't a real need for a super wide so DA 15 seems like the better choice since I use the kit lens %99.9 of the time...still a week or so until the return shipping deadline so nothing is final

Thank you for the response. I actually contacted customer service a few times, I was able to get free overnight shipping on the new lens so I just bought it out of pocket and returned the Sigma like I normally would. Thank you for your time though
