Hi,

about this TC:
Bower SX7PK 2x Telextender SX7PK - B&H Photo Video

Does it work with SDM autofocus? I get the idea it may , from the marking Pz/AF.

Is there any chance -maybe you can try- you verify autofocus works with DA* 200mm ?

If so, I am certainly buying one.

And by the way, is there or will there be 1.4x version of this?

Here is a posting from 7/22/10 on the same topic.

We tested all teleconverters from Bower and Vivitar on a Pentax K-7 Digital SLR Camera using a SMCP-DA 200mm f/2.8 ED (IF) SDM Lens. On camera the lens performed flawlessly and is a very nice lens. The lens would not auto focus with any of the converters mounted. Additionally, the camera displayed an f2.8 fstop when any of the converters were mounted. It would seem the body was able to see the lens by communicating with it through the converters but not understand a converter was attached.
