Buying from B&H - help for PF member (or may be adorama)

I am planning to buy a Tamron 70-200mm and after waiting here for some time, I am now thinking to buy it from B&H. Since B&H does not charges taxes on NJ purchase but Adorama do, so Adorama is not an option.

I like the lens to be shipped to my friend in NJ who will be carrying it from US to India to save shipping and custom. The problem is that, B&H only wants to ship it to PayPal confirmed address. I understand their concern but being a PF user, can I get some help from B&H. Do we have any B&H representative here who can help.

I have been their old customer and did couple of purchases in past but first time doing with PayPal. I sent them a support request but yet to hear from them.

Thanks

There is an "Ask B&H". This should've been posted there. They'd be more than happy to answer your questions.

@eddie1960, I know but I can provide other things for safety, it's just that someone can carry it for me. And I am an old customer for them.

If you've been to their site, you should've gotten a pop-up saying they are on holiday for Thanksgiving weekend.

hmm, I saw that pop-up today but not yesterday when I sent message, so I assume they were working. Anyway, they are accepting order again from Saturday so I hope to receive response soon.

Chuck will check back here on Sunday. Stay tuned until then!

I'm pretty sure the office hours are Sunday-Thursday 9-6pm, Friday 9-1pm.

Hello,

We accept PayPal payments (via our website only) provided that the shipping address is a PayPal confirmed address. PayPal is accepted for U.S., Canada & UK customers only. Your only payment option would be a credit card since as a PF member you need to click to our site from here to give the site credit for the sale.

Chuck, I have US paypal account so that's not an issue, shipping address is issue since I am no longer in US. I have history with B&H and have feedback here too if that helps.

Personally I feel this is kind of unnecesarily rigid stand B&H has taken. Yesterday, I had a lenghy discussion with your representative and while he was very nice to talk to, he also shown helplessness even though he confirmed about my previous purchase history and my credit card is on file.

While I understand that it's for anti-fraud, would have really helped if it was handled on case-to-case basis then such a rigid stand. I even offered my credit card as a backup - what would have been a problem after that.
