Optio MX - SD Card Capacity

What is the largest capacity SD card that the Pentax Optio MX will accept? It seems that a 1Gig card is the largest? Is there a software update to rectify this limitation. Thanks. Robert

Hello,

The Optio MX uses SD/MMC memory cards which were maxed at 1gig. After 1gig, SDHC memory cards are available. Older cameras like the MX which pre-date SDHC cannot use larger memory cards. I am sorry, your camera is limited to 1 gig SD memory cards.
