M42 Pentax Adapter

Hi

In India we don't get any Pentax products, we have to get from either US or UK, got my k-x from UK.

I got Helios 44-M 58/2 lens, want to buy an adapter, please suggest whether this adapter (used) is Original Pentax adapter or not, is it worth buying for Rs. 1200/- .

I'm not associated with B&H except as a customer.
I think you might need to "Ask the seller a question" to figure out it's value and abilities. There are two pictures of it in the ad. The first one shows a picture of an original Pentax adapter. The second one shows something different. All of the original adapters (to my knowledge anyway) have the "ASAHI PENTAX" and "JAPAN" printed on the flange like the first picture shows. In the beginning of the ad it says that it is "used". Later on it says that it is "Brand New". It does mention that it "Focus Infinity Guaranteed" which is the major problem with most of the knock offs. The ad also warns to be sure you know exactly what it is and how to use it.

I wouldn't deal with then just because of the inconsistancies, but if the price is real cheap, well maybe. Even the new (2nd) picture looks OK.

Since the item is for sale on ebay, I have no way of knowing if its an Original Pentax adapter. I am sorry.
