DA 12-24mm availability

Chuck,

What is the story with the DA 12-24mm not being available for a while at B&H? When I called, the sales rep said he would have to special-order it, because B&H does not expect it to be available in stock otherwise. This sounds odd, because the lens is in stock at the Pentax USA web store. Perhaps you could check with the buyer?

Thanks much for the quick response. Will keep an eye on the site. Did the rep say anything about the possible reason for the delay? I'm curious whether this is a regular production/shipment delay, or the lens is about to be discontinued.

July is pretty much over, and the status has changed from "Estimated arrival at B&H is 7-14 business days" to "This item is backordered by the mfr. We have no delivery date at this time". This lens has been out of stock for about two months now.

Chuck - can you still order this lens?
