story of first return

For the first time ever, I returned a purchase to B&H. The lens I bought had some limitations which were disappointing to me, and I felt, because of those limitations, it would not work for the type of photography I wanted to do with it.

I discovered that the return process is a simple one, made even easier by timely updates from B&H, like when the returned lens arrived there and when my replacement lens was shipped and simple explanations about each step of the way. Each communication was courteous and professional. What I thought might be a hassle turned out to be a very straight forward process.

I have bought camera gear from B&H over many years, and this is the first time I have dealt with the customer service department. The treatment I received there only serves to increase my respect for a well organized and staffed company. Prices for gear may vary from company to company, but customer service done right is priceless.

In no way do I wish to start a thread which may invite others to vent about experiences which were not as positive as mine. I simply want to say thanks to B&H, because, in this case, it is deserved.
