Best TC option for a Pentx DA 55-300mm

Bonjour,

We're coming to the States for X-mas and my list includes a tele-converter, plus maybe some vintage K,M and/or A lenses.

Any recommendations from your store for a TC ... or maybe on your used market place, too ... or possibly an external seller?

Merci, "Jean" le Frog

Hello,

The Vivitar VIV-2x7-C 2x Teleconverter (7 Elements) with a Pentax mount effectively doubles the focal length of your lens, maintaining its resolution and contrast. The optical design featuring 7 elements yields superior field flatness and edge sharpness compared to converters with fewer elements. The lens elements have an anti-reflective coating which reduces flare and aberrations.

Bonjour M. Capriola,

Thank you for your message and for your suggestion.

In fact, I was looking at this particular Vivitar TC, but I have another general question that I hope you could answer.

In your opinion, is the 7 element Vivitar TC "better" (and worth the additional cost) as compared to the 4 element Vivitar TC?

I currently live in France, so could I send this article to my mother's permanent residence in Oklahoma and what would be the associated costs, etc?

Please know that I would be making payment via my VISA card account which I still maintain in the States.

As the French say, "merci d'avance" (thanks in advance), John HARRIS

Hello,

Yes, a 7 element teleconverter would be optically better than a 4 element. This item qualifies for free shipping in the contiguous United States and to APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

Figuring out what your total bill of sale including shipping and handling costs on our web site is easy. (Remember, Insurance is included on your order)

To see our shipping options and rates, please go to our website and click on the 'Shipping' icon towards the bottom of any product web page.

Add your item(s) to your cart. In the cart screen you will see a shipping calculator. Type in your zip code (for orders delivered in the USA ) or country ( outside the US ) and hit submit.( NO other information is needed ) In the shopping cart screen, you will find your total including shipping rates for your items plus an explanation of our various shipping methods.

B&H does collect New York State sales taxes, when we ship an order inside NYS. When we ship an order out side of NYS, the customer is responsible to pay the sales taxs for the receiving state or import charges for the country of destination.
