What about items that cannot be ordered onlineu

For example the iPad2 has to be ordered by phone. Does the Pentax Forum referral work ? How ?

No, it doesn't. Currently only Adorama is providing us with a dedicated phone line although I was told that this is being worked on by BH also.

Hmm, Chuck, are you saying that orders placed via email following your instructions do not credit referral commission to the Pentax Forum?
Why would you post instructions for something that does not?
That was the whole point of my OP. I must be missing something here.

Hello,

When we first began this thread, the issue of price matching came up and Adam had OK'd this practice in order that the PF members could get the best price. This is a similar issue where due to Apple restrictions, we cannot sell their products online. There is no way for you to purchase an Apple product via the PF portal and I only offered to assist you in the interest of good faith. I am sorry for any confusion I may have caused you.

Price matching is another story, but it would be nice if orders for things that can't be purchased online could be credited to us just like Adorama does. This applies to items like the 645D and its lenses as well (although I don't think anyone buys those unless they're physically in the store ).

We don't disagree and I'd like to see this implemented some time during 2012 but right now it cannot be done and frankly I do not know at this time whether it's on the calendar for next year.
