LCD Display[s]

This is going to sound kinda funny but here goes,my Pentax Optio A20,is a good point and shoot,the thing is,after about a year or so,the LCD display went blank,dang,and is blank. Can the lcd be changed,or another put in,or is a waste of my time and $$.
The bad luck I've had with digitals,so tiny,but yet so efficient. The first digital I bought,and was just on the market,I think it was S5z or sZ5,Optio,5MP that slipped out of my hands after taking a shot,in my kitchen,it spun out of hand,hit a window ledge,then the last ledge,landed on a chair,bounced,in a spinning downward motion,then boom the floor,and the lense was bent out of shape,no more Optio Sz5.
So I saved my money and about a year later I purchased the Optio A20.
So you see I have spent a good $$ to ,say about $300 for the first,and about the same for the second.
Its a excellent camera for what I use it for,point and shoots.If I could afford it I would buy a newer one,things are different now though.
So what are best options?? If any,

Hello,

In my mind, anything is possible, but I would say in general, repairing a P/S camera is not worth it compared to what a new on would. Unfortunately we do not do camera repairs. The manufacturer is always the best place to look for repair services.

Here are 2 reputable service providers we know of;

Phototech
110 East 13th Street
New York, NY 10003
212 673-8400

Phototech Repair

Chrysler Camera Repair (across from B&H Photo)
367 West 34TH ST. 2nd Floor
New York, NY 10001
Phone 212-682-3547

In the future, you may want to check out our Sagemax Protection Plans. B&H's SageMax Protection Plan offers the following benefits over the traditional extension of the manufacturers original warranty;

> Covers your qualifying product from failures due to normal wear-and-tear.

> Defect in material and/or workmanship.

> Mechanical and/or electrical breakdowns.

> Accidental damage from handling.

> Free 2-way shipping

> Free " Lemon Protection " (if camera requires repair 3 times, it will be replaced)

> Free in-house repair service

Any qualifying B&H item will now have the appropriate equivalent SageMax Protection Plan(s) listed as a recommended accessory.
