77mm Lens Hood

I lost the lens hood for my Pentax-DA* 300mm F4 ED [IF] SDM lens. It had never fit quite right and was easy to bump it and have it fall off. I went to the B&H site on line and tried to find a replacement hood for the lens. I was surprised to find more than 100 77mm lens hoods. The replacement Pentax hood is quite a bit more costly than many others. Perhaps a more flexible rubber hood would be better. Also, the Pentax hood snapped on like a bayonet, the others seem to screw into the filter threads. Is this a problem?

Please recommend a good quality hood for my Pentax-DA* 300mm F4 ED [IF] SDM lens.

The price of the Pentax PH-RBK 77mm Lens Hood for SMCP-DA* 200mm f/2.8 ED (IF) & 300mm f/4 ED is $ 19.95. This is the best option as opposed to a generic hood. Hoods that screw in to the front are fine. They will spin on a lens whose front turns during focusing and in my experience fall off easily if screwed into a filter that does not grab the threading firmly.
