Metz flashes

Considering getting a flash for my K10D. Not gonna get used a whole bunch but lots of friends have suggested them over the original Pentax flashes. Most often said is that the base is stronger. Just wondered your opinion on them.
Thanks Rod Heeney

In a word, Metz units are excellent and in many cases made to better standards than their manufacturer equivalents.
