Metz 582

I have a metz 58 combined with a k5 bought through your store nearly 2 years ago. Alls been good untill today, The flash now lights up on the back panel with a "BATTERY PACK" message flashing, batteries are charged and I tried a replacement set but to no avail, I can not change any of the flash functions now as this message appears almost on start up. Any ideas on this?
Regards
Don.

Hello,

I assume the "replacement set" you tried were fresh alkaline batteries and I would suggest testing this if they were not. This will tell you if the issue is the battery pack or the flash. If the problem still exists, you may have burned something out inside. I've fried many a flash tube over the years. You would have to have the flash serviced by Metz if a tube or circuit board needed replacing.

So It was cheaper to buy a new flash than have it repaired, motherboard had crapped it's self
