vivitar 4 element vs 7 element teleconverter

hi i am thinking of buying a vivitar 2x teleconverter . what is the difference between a 4-element & a 7-element teleconverter other than the number of "element"?

The number of elements will affect image quality. Added elements will help fine tune focusing at close distances improving sharpness and recorded details.
