Hello,

Basically, the difference would be the light source. Strobe tends to output more light, continuous light sources make it easier to see what you are getting, focus and meter your subject.

The STL-80R LED Macro Ringlight Flash and Continuous Light from Stellar Lighting Systems is a versatile LED ringlight that can be used as a flash as well as a continuous-light LED. It's been specially designed for macro photography. Equipped with 80 bright white LEDs, it features a light output of 600 lumens as a continuous light (f/4.0 at 2' and 100 ISO). A set of adapter rings makes it possible to use this light with 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm and 77mm lenses. It runs on 4x AAA batteries.

Hello,

The Pentax AF-540 FGZ is a professional flash unit that is fully compatible with the entire line of Pentax cameras, from the original 67 to 645N II & MZ-S, MZ-SD or digital *ist, K100D, K110D and K10D series cameras. It will support advanced flash functions of even the latest digital SLR camera models.

The VS-510P Wireless TTL Shoe Mount Flash from Bolt is a dedicated flash for use with Pentax & Samsung DSLR, mirrorless or point-and-shoot cameras. The VS-510 features a guide number of 141' at ISO 100 and an adjustable tilt head with five positions: 0 to 90. You can also twist it to the left up to 120 and to the right up to 180. It covers a 24-105mm range (in 35mm full frame format) and also offers rear curtain synchronization for shooting at slower shutter speeds. The included stand allows you to set the flash up on a flat surface, or to attach it to a tripod head, light stand, or clamp that has a standard 1/4"-20 mount.
