Delayed order due to grip?

I was wondering if one's whole order is delayed when one item is not expected to arrive for several weeks.
I ordered the K-3 black version a couple of weeks ago along with the grip. The status of my order seems to be pending. . .still. I assume that the black bodies are in stock and shipping, so is the grip order holding up the whole thing?

Just spoke with customer service who answered affirmatively, so I had them split the order so I could get the camera in hand for an assignment.
Here's some feedback: it's not serving your customer to have their order in limbo due to a backorder. Getting it to me ASAP should be your default line of service, like your competitors do.

We appreciate your patience and this feedback. In fact IMO each situation should be evaluated individually. For example, a customer orders a lens and a filter. Personally, I'd ship the lens if the filter was backordered but might not ship the filter until the lens became available. YMMV.
