B&H Price Change Policy Question

Anyone know what B&H's policy on price matching when they drop the price? I bought the K3 package with grip and flash for $1296.99 on 8/11/14. I know some places will refund the difference if there is a price drop within a month of purchase. Looks like the price now is $1167.90 (with a FLU card as well.) I also bought a FLU card a couple of weeks earlier.

Hello;

Our policy is B&H will gladly consider matching an authorized retailer for the same item. We must be able to verify the offer and that the item is available and ready to ship. We cannot honor verbal or phone quotes, coupon codes or any other promotional incentives.

After your purchase during the 30 day return period we can look into a price change, but the provisions for such an accommodation are a little different. Say for example an items price drops; we could possibly honor the price change for your purchase. On the other hand, say an item like the K3 gets an Instant Savings or Rebate both offered by Pentax through its dealers. These promotions usually have a valid date window so it could be your request could not be fulfilled because your purchase date was outside the Rebates purchase window.

Post sale price adjustments are handled on a case by case basis and it’s best to contact our Customer Service Department to have CS Rep look into your request.

Thank you, Chuck. I continue to be impressed by the customer service at B&H. I did submit an email this morning to the customer service dept and received an answer within a couple of hours. The end result in this case is that I am being credited for the original purchase price and then charged for the new price resulting in a net refund of $129.05. In addition, a FLU card is being sent to me.

I hope to be able to get to NYC again to visit the store. I had the chance to visit a couple of years ago while staying at The New Yorker down the street.
