B&H UPS "sure post"

Many of B&H's items include free shipping, which is a great deal! However, if I want something small that could fit in an envelope, I wonder if I could pay extra & request "First class mail"? I ordered a hoodie on Nov. 2nd, it is not scheduled to arrive until Nov 12th, via the UPS "sure post". 10 days is a long time to wait for an item, and it would be well worth it to me to pay extra for first class mail on very small items.

Not a complaint, as I don't think you can find better service than what B&H has! I always order from them if they have the item I want!

Thanks B&H!

B&H stopped using the UPS + USPS and FedEx + USPS for most order options a while ago, so offhand it is unlikely your hoodie was shipped via that method. If you can send me your B&H order number I can check.

For first class USPS mail you can select the "Priority mail" option, although UPS 2-day rush is often less expensive. FWIW in my experience USPS online package tracking is woeful and they're slow to reply if a package is delayed or mislaid.

It shows that you do not receive private messages.

Order #1031049447
Date Shipping Method Status Order Number 10/31/2014 Super Saver NEW 1031049447

It shows "Super Saver", and tracking shows delivery 11/12, on the UPS site, so it has gone this way.

Please know, I'm not complaining, the free shipping is wonderful on so many of your items; it's just if I had known it would be shipped this way, I would gladly have paid to get it here quicker.

I abhor private messages but include my email in my forum sig.

You should have received our shipping confirmation email with the package tracking data. You will see the tracking number is from UPS which means UPS is carrying this end to end. When we used UPS SurePost and FedEx SmartPost the tracking number the customer received was a USPS number.

[ You will see the tracking number is from UPS which means UPS is carrying this end to end.]

According to the UPS tracking site:

[ UPS SurePost UPS SurePost® is an economy, residential, ground service.

This service combines the consistency and reliability of the UPS Ground network with final delivery typically provided by the U.S. Postal Service.]

So this indeed is coming the last leg by postal.

As I mentioned, I'm certainly not complaining about the free shipping; rather had I known, I would have paid for faster delivery; as almost two weeks is too long.

My order is seeing a lot of the USA! From Billings, I'm sure it will then go to Great Falls, Mt. 90 miles north of me, then finally to my area. Glendive is unheard of in package tracking. LOL! Delivery date is still 5 days away.

The reason I posted this, is to warn other customers to check on the free shipping if they want their order soon. Also perhaps B&H can warn customers when their order is coming in this manner.

On the other hand, I've received the free shipping on other items that came directly via UPS and arrived in about 3-4 days, rather confusing!

While you're placing an order we provide a menu of shipping options with price and ETA for each. When you complete the order we provide order confirmation with an ETA. When the order is shipped we provide package tracking information including a revised ETA. Once it leaves our hands we have no influence on the path it takes from us to you. We endeavor at all times to make those ETAs as accurate as we possibly can.

Henry, it's my fault for not checking further into this shipping method. In the future I will not have anything shipped via your "super saver" method.

One question, when a customer receives a confirmation of their order, is it too late to then change shipping options?

Hello;

In most cases, we can change or modify the shipping option before an item leaves our warehouse. Once placed, the faster you contact our Customer Service Department the better chance we have to accommodate such a request.
