odd ball question

Hi B&H photo.

I really have an odd ball question for you. When ever somebody buys a brand new light stand in a box, when they receive the stand and unbox it, from what I have seen, the stand will have a small white plastic disc threaded on to the threads on the top of the stand to protect them. What is that disk called and where can I get some?

Like I said, odd ball question.

Hello,

"thread cap" Just guessing. We get similar inquiries about the caps on digital camera batteries. These are something not sold retail and you'd have to ask the manufacturer if they would be willing to send you some.

Thank you Chuck. Yes it does help. I was wondering if I was going to need to get with a manufacture about it. At the same time, while waiting for your answer, I figured out how to make them.
