Tiffen XLE series filters

I'm in the market for a 10-stop nd filter and Tiffen has a new series called XLE with three different models. I've been seeing the Axent model on eBay and in stores for a very reasonable price but when I read the specs there is a lot of info regarding the filtration of IR and I'm wondering if these are for specific effects or if they are suitable for color and b&w long exposures. Tiffen is a quality brand, so if I could get a 10-stop filter from them at these prices it should be a great deal. Any thoughts or info would be appreciated. XLE Series | Tiffen

Hello,

The XLE Series filters are designed for both Color and B&W shooting. IR can affect images taken with long exposures. These new filters are designed to both cut down light entering the camera [ND] and filter or block the IR spectrum from polluting your images.
