Which Bag or Case

This looks like the perfect thread and I do like those folks at B and H.

The problem:

I have a K1 with battery grip attached to the Pentax 150-450 lens and I wish to get a bag or case to transport it around and more importantly protect it whilst it's in the back of the car.

I am not fussy whether it is a back pack or a box/case, but mustn't be too big as it's just one body and lens so no huge Pelican or equivalent cases. Also it must have adequate padding for any small knocks and roll arounds whilst in the car and finally be fairly easy to grab and carry to chosen setup locations as I will have a tripod in one hand.

Thanks for any advice.

Tim

Hello;

I asked a floor manager in our store to give me a few suggestions.

The Lowepro Flipside 300 Backpack (Black) is a tough, 600 denier water-resistant, polyester backpack that protects digital photo equipment against moisture and abrasion. The back compartment entry gives safe, easy access to camera gear, plus extra security. The outer storage pocket holds digital accessories and personal items, and the removable accessory pouch holds cables, chargers, manuals and other key accessories. It is carried by a backpack harness with a detachable waist belt. There is an adjustable sternum strap for comfort.

Take your photography gear on the road with the versatile, well made, black StreetWalker V2.0 Backpack from Think Tank. Inside the spacious, padded, zippered main compartment are touch-fastening dividers for organizing a gripped pro DSLR with attached 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, up to four additional lenses, a flash, and the included rain cover. Under the lid are clear-mesh zip pockets for accessories. The rear of the pack features a zippered compartment for your up to 10" tablet. On the front of the pack are an adjustable quick release strap and a tripod strap, for attaching a medium-sized tripod.

Comfortably carry your pro DSLR with a 70-200/2.8, 80-400, or other long lens attached with the black C850 Extra Large Holster Case from Kinesis. The holster also accommodates your lens hood in the ready-position, and a select flash or prime lens that fits in the front, exterior zip pocket. Large zipper pulls make accessing gear fast and easy. Under the lid is a zip pocket for small items such as memory cards, lens cloths, and caps. Two, Siamese SlikClip Buckles are included for attaching old-style Kinesis TwinBuckle Pouches.
