This unit is specific to certain brands, correct? I would order to be used with Pentax DSLR AND a Ricoh GR3. Would the Pentax configuration be the choice for BOTH cameras?

The Q20II from LightPix Labs is a manual unit and not dedicated to any particular brand or system. It will work in any camera with a standard hot shot flash mount.
