Fall Freestyle Catalog

Arrived in my mailbox yesterday.

Look at all the goodies!

How bout the price of a new enlarger, these days, though: 850 bucks for a Beseler 23? *whistle.* I guess it's hard to make a profit on quantity these days, with so many enlargers out there as it is.

Good to know what my 23C w/condenser light source, and a Dichroic color head might be worth.

Well, since I *actually* paid fourty bucks for mine, (Plus whatever it took to Ebay a couple of lenses and negative carriers,) I don't know what it may say about resale value. When I remarked to my dearest, it did seem to impress about the value of the thing regarding space, though.

Yeah, there's something cheerful about that, despite the pricing.

I'm hoping to keep the one I have till I set up the 'Better Homes And Darkrooms' space I like to dream about.

... I never did have a Beseler though I always had a yen for one... the Freestyle catalog is a future classic, so much interesting stuff in it.

I used Beseler 23C enlargers in the darkroom at college.
They're very pleasant to work with, especially with the Negatrans carrier.
In my home darkrooms I have used several midsize models from Omega.
Except for the smallest models you really can't go wrong with either brand...

I hope that you can see fit to set yourself up a darkroom. That is some of the most fun that I've had with photography over the years. Though, finding the proper supplies and equipment might not be as easy as it was thirty years ago, I can't help but think that it will still be just as much fun.
