Replacing Kodachrome

If like me Kodachrome was your slide film of choice, what do you plan to do now?
Will you continue shooting color transparency film? If so, what type(s) and why?

Steve McCurry, the NG photog who got the last roll of Kodachrome to shoot, has been quoted as saying he uses Ektachrome as well as digital.

I used to use E100GX until Kodak axed it. E100G is pretty good but cooler in the shadows than GX is (was), so I'd try it with an 81A or 81B filter to warm it up a touch, should be relatively close.

There's also E100VS, but that's very contrasty, maybe too much for some people. It's sorta the competitor to Velvia 50.

You could also try Provia. It's a great slide film for street photography.

I will probably start with Elitechrome 100, said to be less cool than E100G.
Amateur films suit my shooting habits and budget better, too.

Though it used to be my film of choice as well, I had not shot a roll of Kodachrome in many years. I've become more enamoured of the negative films as their rendition offers me more distinction from digital.

If I were shooting film only, I would probably shoot one of the Fuji emulsions as my slide film. I was mixing it in with Kodachrome back when I stopped shooting slides.

Pictured, was always my favorite.Last box purchased, exposed, and home processed.
Even dab'd bit of developer on there to "mark" the moment.(wife just sits there
shaking her head)

Havnt tried Elite yet. Have seen some other members do fantastic with it.
What 100 & 200 ektachrome I've shot, mostly been processed by pro lab so
I feel unqualified to comment, like what Ive seen though. Favor the 100
As Gene mentions Fugi, just tried Fugichrome50, very impressive, really sharp
was "out of it" so to speak for awhile, have alot of catching up to do
